| All life is precious. For me abortion is morally wrong. The Declaration of Independence guarantees the right to life before all others. However that is not the law as it currently stands. Each woman must make her own decision. As a former Labor + Delivery RN I do not believe abortion should be an option unless the life of the mother is at risk, which could include pregnancies resulting from incest or rape. An emancipated minor may make her own decisions under the law. | |||

Switch public union employees to a defined benefit contribution plan + get healthcare premiums more in line with the private sector. More stringent qualifications should be applied to Medicaid. Driving without a license is a crime, ergo one must have an ID on your person. To write or cash a check one must show ID, therefore it is not unreasonable to require an ID check in order to vote. | |||

| My top priorities would be to address the educational needs of our children to ensure education is amply funded, and to restore the rights of those convicted of simple marijuana possession. I would also work to pass stricter regulation surrounding the Deed of Trust Act to restore established norms for information integrity and security especially for home owners in foreclosure. I would work to help prevent soldier suicide. I would also work to legislate 4th Amendment protections to include language adding electronic communications to the objects protected from search and seizure without a warrant- may require amending the state constitution. |
